Statement by Ambassador Richard L. Buangan on the Resignation of the Khamba Nomun Khan Choijamts
It has been a great privilege to work with Khamba Nomun Khan Choijamts, a man who has tirelessly dedicated his life to the revival and development of Mongolian Buddhism. During his leadership as the Head of Mongolian Buddhists Center Gandan Tegchinlen Monastery for over thirty years, Mongolia has become a vibrant democracy and restored its ancient traditions of religious tolerance and freedom of faith. The United States Embassy thanks the Khamba Nomun Khan Choijamts for his extraordinary service to his country and the Buddhist community.
