Ambassador Campbell Accompanying Prime Minister Saikhanbileg on Visit to the U.S.

From June 23 to June 27, Prime Minister Ch. Saikhanbileg is leading a delegation of Mongolian officials on a visit to Washington, D.C. and New York City.  Ambassador Piper Anne Wind Campbell is accompanying the Prime Minister on the Washington portion of the visit.

The Prime Minister’s office has stated that the purpose of his visit is the promotion of trade and investment between the two countries.  In Washington, Prime Minister Saikhanbileg will meet with Vice President of the United States Joe Biden, Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzer, and Senator John McCain, and will be the guest of honor at a dinner hosted by the United States Chamber of Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia.  In New York City, the Prime Minister will meet with Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Jan Eliasson and tour the New York Stock Exchange.  During his visit, he will also meet with World Bank President Dr. Jim Yong Kim.
