Good morning. Thank you to the World Bank and IFC for hosting this very heavy informational event this morning. It’s great to be here.
Thank you to Minister Bayartsogt for your leadership and for your support of these all important reforms.
From the United States perspective, I am particularly pleased to see the improvement in Mongolia’s ranking.
Whether it’s twenty or whether it’s three, it is a positive sign. And it means that the environment for doing business in Mongolia is getting better every day and every year.
I am especially pleased at the important role that the U.S. Agency for International Development, USAID, has played in helping improve the business environment in Mongolia.
Our USAID has worked very closely with the government of Mongolia, with businesses, with international organizations to ensure that the environment is continually improving, and that reforms that are important to businesses are indeed implemented.
So I’m very proud of the role that USAID has played in improving this environment. And we look forward to continuing to work with the government of Mongolia to continue to improve the business environment.
And if I could just quote your Prime Minister Sir, I agree that “Mongolia is open for business.”
So thank you very much. I’m very pleased to be a partner in this endeavor.
