The Ulaanbaatar American Cultural and Information Center is located at the Ulaanbaatar City Public Library. Jointly with the UB City Public Library, the American Cultural and Information Center offers a large program room for public events, lectures, and trainings; a reading room equipped with English books, reference materials, and free to use computers; and a maker space with a 3D printer, sewing machines, soldering equipment, and other tools and services. EducationUSA, the official source for information on studying in the United States, is also located at the same library.

Services
“Let’s Talk About America” lecture series
Every Thursday at 6:00 pm American citizens living or working in Mongolia give presentations about American culture. Topics can cover American history, sports, geography, politics, or even comic book heroes. Talks are in English, and audience members are encouraged to ask questions. (Please note that this program runs from September until the end of June every year)
Internet Service
The American Culture and Information Center offers free internet service to the public. There are 6 high speed workstations and 3 iMacs connected to the internet for patrons to use. This internet service began in November 2004 and each year approximately 11,000 patrons use the service. Free public wi-fi is also available.
Movie Night
Movie night start at 5:00 pm every Wednesday in the reading room. Participants can view diverse American movies ranging from Hollywood blockbusters to creative and unique documentaries about American life.
Watching Videos
Patrons can watch over 270 DVDs of American movies and documentaries to practice their English skills. Three televisions are available with headpieces to watch films.
Speaking Clubs
Every Saturday at 2-4 pm Mongolians who wish to practice English can join Speaking Club for the public and the UB Toastmasters Club takes place Saturday from 4-6 pm.

Membership
Anybody can visit and use the American Cultural and Information Center. The first time is free and possible without an Ulaanbaatar Public Library membership ID. If you want to come regularly or check out books, then you need a membership ID from the Ulaanbaatar Public Library.
The documents you need to register for the Ulaanbaatar Public Library are:
- National or student ID
- Registration fee 5000 MNT;
English teachers from the countryside, foreign citizens, and volunteers have the right to use the center during certain times. You should bring your National ID when you come to the space.
