Due to the current COVID-19 situation in Mongolia, the U.S. Embassy – Ulaanbaatar has moved to a reduced operating posture. Consular operations, including visa interviews and non-emergency American citizen services, are suspended until further notice effective July 2, 2021.

American citizen services:

American citizens with consular services scheduled during this time period will be contacted to reschedule their appointments. For emergency assistance please contact: +976-7007-6001 or send an e-mail to UlaanbaatarACS@state.gov during business hours. To receive regular updates from the consular section, American citizens should enroll their travel in Mongolia by visiting step.state.gov.

Nonimmigrant visa services:

If your visa appointment was cancelled, you may reschedule your appointment here or check for appointment availability here.  Rescheduling an appointment does not cost an additional fee.
