The Consular Cashier accepts cash in U.S. dollars or equivalent Mongolian tugrug and U.S. bank issued credit cards. Local Mongolian and international credit cards (excluding U.S. bank issued credit cards), personal checks and other country currencies are not accepted.
Appointments are available on Tuesdays between 1:00 pm. and 3:00 pm. and can be made online at the Embassy’s ACS Online Appointment System. Follow the directions outlined on the Department of State website and submit all forms in person.
If you were at least age 16 when your current passport was issued and would like to renew your passport you will need to submit:
- Completed and printed Form DS-82. Also this form is available from the Consular Section at the Embassy
- Your current U.S. passport and a photocopy of the Bio page
- 1 passport photo, size 2 X 2 inch (5 X 5 cm) Check the requirement for photo.
- Application fee of $130 payable only in cash in U.S. dollars or the equivalent in Mongolian tugrugs. Please check the requirements on U.S. banknotes (PDF 34 KB)
