This week, Mongolian law enforcement officials participated in two U.S.-funded workshops designed to improve the investigation and prosecution of human trafficking cases in Mongolia. International and local experts with the Warnath Group, a U.S. firm, and the Human Rights Center for Citizens, a Mongolian civil society organization, conducted the training, with support from the Ministry of Justice.

The workshops focused on improving understanding of the definition of trafficking, identifying and working with victims, building trafficking cases, and taking cases to court. Workshop participants included Mongolian police, prosecutors, criminal court judges, and Law Enforcement University teachers involved in combating human trafficking.
