While Mongolia’s population in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar has tripled in less than three decades, its availability of water has remained the same – posing a significant threat to its citizens. Together, the U.S. Government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation – MCC and the Government of Mongolia are partnering through the MCC-Mongolia Water Compact to combat this threat through infrastructure development and capacity building to ensure residents of Ulaanbaatar have a sustainable supply of water, putting them on the path towards a healthier and more prosperous future.
